Spend a week as a Citizen Scientist with Diving Hall of Famers Lad Akins and Peter Hughes

Lad Akins, Peter Hughes, and other dedicated topical experts at Blue Earth Conservation have launched a new effort to educate the public on invasive species and other ocean conservation measures.

Part of their mission includes hosting conservation-focused trips that combine their love of diving with conservation needs. The work that needs to be done on each trip is serious and meaningful. However, with Lad and Peter as your hosts, you can be sure the tasks at hand will be done in a fun-filled atmosphere of camaraderie. Add to the mix the professionalism and congeniality of the Go West Diving staff, and you just know that a great time will be had by one and all!

The week of September 7 – 14, 2019, is your chance to join Peter Hughes and Lad Akins in their effort. Join them as they conduct lionfish removals, collect research data, talk about the health of our Caribbean reefs and discuss the work underway to protect them.  And have a great time underwater with dive industry leaders!

Program Cost: US $1,802.00 per person based on double occupancy at the Kura Hulanda Resort. The package price includes oceanfront accommodations at the Kura Hulanda, all meals, 5 days of world-class two-tank boat dives and unlimited air tanks for shore diving with Go West Diving, airport transfers, and taxes.
